      Top/Bottom 'N' Holdings - Data Object


        Article summary

        Here we use the Transformation Data Block ‘DEMO_TopBottomNHoldings’ to create the Data object ‘Top/Bottom N Holdings’.

        • Click on ‘Create New’ under ‘Data Objects’ tab from Developer Center

        • Select the options as shown below and hit ‘Create’

        • There are two views (Design and YAML). We will concentrate in Design view to start with. Give a suitable name for the object as shown below and select the option ‘Both’ as we can use this object for both table and chart.

        • Set the Transformation block ‘DEMO_TopBottomNHoldings’  as shown below

        • Click on the pencil button to edit the Data Settings one by one.

        • Account Code - data setting

        • As of Date – data setting

        • With Cash – data setting

        • No of Records – data setting

        • Data Display for – data setting

        • Currency Code – data setting

        (Note: Here we will be using the GetCurrencyCodes data block)

        • Sector Scheme – data setting

        • Show Cash – data setting

        • Click on the pencil button to edit the Columns one by one.

        • Column - ISSUEDISPLAYNAME

        • Column - MARKETVALUE

        • Column – PERCENTAGE

        • Set the Summary row.

        Authoring Smart page (Top/Bottom N Holdings)

        • Got to ‘Authoring Center’

        • Create Smart Page
        • Click on the Create New option to open a PowerPoint template and create a new Smart Page.  
        • You will be prompted to open the Assette Editor Launcher and select a Brand Theme
        • Click Open and a PowerPoint template will launch for you to work in. 

        * Make sure before beginning your work that any other open PowerPoint documents are closed out.

        • Insert a native PowerPoint table as shown below.

        • Open Fabrication panel as shown below.

        • Once you have completed Column, Row and Data Settings, click on Show Variables to preview tagged variables in the Smart Shell. Click Commit to save all settings of the shell.

        • Click on ‘Preview Template’ under ‘ASSEETE’ tab

        • Select the option as shown below in Generation overlay.
